  • Where is the Vegan Night Market located?

    The Vegan Night Market has three locations:

    1. Hi Jericho Beach Hostel, Vancouver: March 26th, April 30th, October 15th, and December 3rd.

    2. Locarno Beach, Vancouver: May 28th, June 11th, June 25th, July 9th, July 23rd, August 6th, August 20th, and September 3rd

    3. Balmy Beach, Toronto: June 18th, July 16th, August 13th, and September 10th.

  • How often does the Vegan Night Market take place?

    Starting in June, we follow a bi-weekly schedule until September. For the fall, winter, and spring months, we curate events on a bi-monthly basis.

  • How much does it cost to have a stall at the Vegan Night Market?

    We are committed to making the Vegan Night Market a thriving space for small vegan businesses. Our prices are as follows:

    Outdoor Table Stall (6ft x 5ft): $150+tax

    Outdoor Tent Stall (10ft x 10ft): $200+tax

    Outdoor Shared Tent Stall (6ft x 5ft): $300+tax

    Food Cart / Trailer: $250+tax

    Food Truck: $300 + 5% of sales

    Not-for-Profit Organizations: One complimentary market per calendar year. Additional markets are 50% off the standard vendor fee (starting at $100 + tax).

  • What do I need to bring with me to sell at the Vegan Night Market?

    All stalls must bring the necessary equipment for outdoor set-up including…

    ✔️ tables & chairs

    ✔️ electrical supply (twinkle lights, batteries, power cord)

    ✔️ 10 x 10 tent with 4 x 10kg weights

    ✔️ displays (banner, a-frame, business cards, brochure)

    ✔️ hand-washing station (only for food-related businesses)

    ✔️ card reader

    ✔️ positive attitude

    We strive to be as plastic-free as possible, so please ensure that all plates, utensils, cups, straws, serving trays, etc., are compostable.

  • How many servings should I bring?

    Estimating the number of servings can be challenging, but we recommend bringing 150-300 serves if your production capacity allows.

  • Is there on-site parking?

    We have parking space for load in/out purposes, but vendors are required to park in surrounding areas, which offer free parking, 2-hour parking, etc.

  • Is there Wi-Fi?

    There is no Wi-Fi available at Locarno Beach market. Prepare to utilize your personal data and don’t forget a portable charger.

  • Is there an ATM on-site?

    No, there is no atm on site. If you’re looking to bargain we recommend bringing cash, however all forms of payment are accepted.

  • Do I need to submit any documents If I'm selling or sampling food/beverages? Yessir.

    All food businesses sampling or selling must complete a Temporary Food Service Application (TFSA) 14 day prior to event. Access to Temporary Food Service Form can be found here.

    All food trucks, trailers, and carts are exempt from submitting a TFSA and only need a mobile food permit.

  • Is there power?

    All vendors are responsible for providing their own electricity. Generator rentals can be reserved through our trusted provider, A & B Tool Rental.

  • Can I apply if my business isn't 100% vegan?

    We welcome all businesses and applaud your interest in the plant-based industry!

    You don't need to be a fully vegan company to join The Vegan Night Market. However, we don't accept the sale of any animal by-products.
